Ukrainian children to benefit from crypto-powered aid initiatives

WhiteBIT and Whitepay became Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Ukraine partners, in an effort to help the war torn nation.

This integration of these platforms will make it easier for donors to make contributions in 140 different cryptocurrencies from anywhere in the world on the donation page.

By integrating crypto payments into charitable foundations, donors have an effective way to help those in need in the shortest possible time.

Enabling cryptocurrency donations

WhiteBIT, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in Ukraine, has teamed up with Whitepay, a solution for accepting cryptocurrency payments and donations, to partner with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) in Ukraine.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Ukraine is a non-profit organization that exists with the intention to promote a family-centred approach to healthcare and create programs to improve the well-being of children and their families.

Since 2017, the foundation has established and maintained six Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at public hospitals in Kyiv, Lviv, Vinnytsia, Sumy, Rivne, and Kharkiv (now closed).

Thanks to this new partnership with WhiteBIT and Whitepay, families of seriously ill children and war victims now have the option of receiving cryptocurrency donations, which can be quickly converted into Ukrainian hryvnias using the Whitepay system.

Supporting war-affected families

The Ronald McDonald Family Rooms are at the forefront of the RMHC Ukraine activities, helping parents and seriously ill children stay in hospitals in comfortable conditions. This program has already helped 170,000 families.

With the onset of a full-scale invasion, RMHC has also launched programs that provide additional support for those affected by the war. The program is actively operating: the war-affected families in the frontline and de-occupied areas have received more than 190,000 humanitarian aid packages.

Thanks to charitable contributions, the foundation is in a position to help children, and because of the partnership with Whitepay, there is now an easier way for everyone to support children using cryptocurrency.

WhiteBIT has been actively helping Ukraine in charitable, informational, and technical areas since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

Over the 12 months, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has been collaborating with a cryptocurrency exchange, resulting in the collection of crypto donations from across the globe for various charitable foundations such as UNITED24, the Serhiy Prytula Foundation, and Tabletochki.

With the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, these donations have been particularly vital in supporting families affected by the war.
